Choosing the right dog walker is a big decision, and I understand how important it is to feel confident about who is caring for your dog. That’s why I always arrange a meet & greet before taking on a new dog walking client.

A meet & greet isn’t a test and there’s no pressure, it’s simply a chance for us all to meet and make sure everything feels right.

Getting to know your dog properly

Every dog and every home is different, with their own routine, personality and needs. A meet & greet allows me to learn about your dog in their own environment — what they enjoy, how they’re handled, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and settled on walks.

It also gives your dog the opportunity to meet me calmly and without expectation.

Safety, routine and consistency

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing always come first. Meeting beforehand helps me understand your dog’s walking routine, equipment, training cues and any boundaries you’d like respected. My aim is always to support the training and structure you already have in place, not undo it.

Reassurance for you

Leaving your dog with a dog walker/house sitter for the first time can feel daunting. A meet & greet gives you the chance to ask questions, see how your dog responds to me, and feel reassured before making any decisions.
