Starting Harriet’s Hounds has been a natural step for me, combining a lifelong love of animals with a desire for a calmer, more countryside focused way of life.

I’ve always shared my life with animals, including dogs and horses. One of my dogs is a rescue from Barbados, who I found sheltering under a car. That little dog has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. That experience (and the challenges) shaped how I care for animals today — with patience, kindness, and an understanding that every dog is an individual.

After many years working as a senior corporate Executive Assistant, I chose to step away from the fast pace of city life and endless meetings and focus on something much closer to my heart. Harriet’s Hounds was created to offer reliable, calm, and thoughtful dog walking in beautiful countryside surroundings, where dogs can enjoy fresh air, freedom, and time to simply be dogs and their owners can know they are being well cared for.

I believe a good walk is about more than exercise. It’s about enrichment, confidence, and trust. Whether your dog loves exploring fields or prefers a gentler pace, with more time to sniff and view the world, I take the time to ensure every walk is suited to their needs.

I’m DBS checked, fully insured, and trained in canine first aid, so you can feel confident your dog is always in safe hands. Every dog I walk is treated as if they were my own.
